1. El servicio

MĒMORA escribe un libro con la historia de vida de una persona. Para hacerlo, Gloria hace hasta tres entrevistas por teléfono, con un total de hasta 90 minutos. Si se necesita más tiempo, se puede comprar tiempo adicional [precio por definir].

2. Gloria es una asistente de inteligencia artificial

Gloria no es una persona. Es una asistente de voz con inteligencia artificial creada por MĒMORA para escuchar su historia con calma. Gloria puede equivocarse al entender un nombre, una fecha o un lugar. Por eso, nuestro equipo revisa el libro antes de entregarlo, y usted lee el borrador y puede pedir correcciones. Nada se imprime hasta que usted lo apruebe.

3. Grabaciones y transcripciones

Todas las llamadas se graban y se convierten en texto. Usamos las grabaciones y las transcripciones solo para escribir su libro. No las vendemos, no las usamos para publicidad y no las compartimos con nadie fuera de lo que se explica en estos términos y en nuestra Política de privacidad.

4. Quién ve su información

Solo nuestro equipo y las empresas que nos ayudan a dar el servicio: el servicio telefónico, la voz de Gloria, la inteligencia artificial y el almacenamiento de archivos. Estas empresas solo usan su información para que el servicio funcione.

5. Cuánto tiempo guardamos su información

• Las grabaciones y las transcripciones se borran 90 días después de entregar el libro. Ese tiempo le permite pedir cambios.

• El libro terminado se guarda [por definir] para que pueda pedir copias, a menos que usted nos pida borrarlo.

• Puede pedir que borremos todo antes. Si lo hace antes de terminar el libro, no podremos completarlo.

6. Fotos

Las fotos que nos envíe se usan solo para su libro y se borran junto con las grabaciones, 90 días después de entregar el libro. Al enviarnos fotos, usted confirma que tiene permiso para compartirlas con nosotros.

7. Preguntas sobre el libro o el servicio

Para que la llamada sea solo para sus recuerdos, Gloria no contesta preguntas sobre el libro durante la entrevista. Las anota, y le enviamos las respuestas por mensaje de texto después de la llamada.

8. Su bienestar y su seguridad

Recordar puede traer emociones fuertes. Puede pausar, saltar una pregunta o terminar la llamada cuando quiera.

• Gloria no es médica, ni terapeuta, ni un servicio de emergencias, y no da consejos médicos.

• Si durante una llamada la persona dice algo que nos preocupe sobre su seguridad, Gloria le dará el número 988 (Línea de Prevención del Suicidio y Crisis, por llamada o texto, en español) y le recordará llamar al 911 en una emergencia.

• En ese caso, nuestro equipo recibe un aviso y puede comunicarse con la persona que hizo la reserva para saber cómo está.

• En una emergencia, llame al 911 de inmediato.

9. Llamadas perdidas y recordatorios

Si no contesta una llamada, le enviaremos recordatorios por mensaje para volver a programarla. Si pasan 30 días sin respuesta, pausamos el servicio. Puede retomarlo cuando quiera con el enlace que le enviamos (el paquete es válido por 12 meses desde la fecha de compra).

10. Cancelaciones y reembolsos

Antes de la primera llamada. Puede cancelar en cualquier momento antes de la primera llamada con Gloria. Le devolvemos lo que pagó, menos un pequeño cargo administrativo [monto por definir].

Si deja el servicio a medias. Si ya se hizo al menos una llamada y decide no continuar, no hay reembolso. Escribiremos un libro más corto con las llamadas que ya se hicieron.

Paquetes en pausa. Su paquete es válido por 12 meses desde la fecha de compra. Puede retomarlo cuando quiera dentro de ese plazo. Después de 12 meses, el paquete vence y no hay reembolso.

Si la persona que cuenta la historia fallece. Lo sentimos mucho. Terminaremos el libro con las llamadas que ya se hicieron, sin costo adicional. Si la familia lo pide antes de que se borren, también le enviaremos las grabaciones.

Tiempo adicional. El tiempo adicional que se compra no se reembolsa una vez usado.

Después de aprobar el libro. Una vez que usted aprueba el libro para imprimir, no hay reembolsos. Si el libro llega dañado o con un error de impresión, escríbanos dentro de 30 días y lo reemplazamos sin costo.

Cómo pedir un reembolso. Escríbanos a [correo de contacto]. Devolvemos el dinero al mismo método de pago en un plazo de 10 días hábiles.

11. Participación voluntaria

Nadie está obligado a contestar una pregunta. Puede dejar el servicio en cualquier momento. Vea la sección 10 sobre reembolsos.

12. Edad

La persona que reserva debe tener 18 años o más.

13. Su historia, su libro y el certificado

La historia y el libro son de usted y de su familia, y pueden compartirlos con quien quieran. El nombre, el logo y el diseño de MĒMORA y de El Libro de los Puertorriqueños siguen siendo de MĒMORA.

El libro se escribe con los recuerdos que se comparten en las llamadas. MĒMORA no verifica nombres, fechas ni hechos. Usted revisa el borrador y es responsable de lo que aprueba, sobre todo cuando menciona a otras personas.

El Certificado de Registro es un recuerdo simbólico de MĒMORA. No es un documento oficial, legal ni genealógico.

1. The service

MĒMORA writes a book about a person's life story. To do this, Gloria holds up to three phone interviews, up to 90 minutes in total. If more time is needed, extra time can be purchased [price to be decided].

2. Gloria is an AI assistant

Gloria is not a person. She is an AI voice assistant created by MĒMORA to listen to your story calmly. Gloria can mishear a name, a date or a place. That is why our team reviews the book before it is delivered, and you read the draft and can ask for corrections. Nothing is printed until you approve it.

3. Recordings and transcripts

Every call is recorded and turned into text. We use the recordings and transcripts only to write your book. We do not sell them, use them for advertising, or share them with anyone except as these terms and our Privacy Policy explain.

4. Who sees your information

Only our team and the companies that help us provide the service: the phone service, Gloria's voice, the AI, and file storage. These companies use your information only to make the service work.

5. How long we keep your information

• Recordings and transcripts are deleted 90 days after the book is delivered. That gives you time to ask for changes.

• The finished book is kept [to be decided] so you can order copies, unless you ask us to delete it.

• You can ask us to delete everything sooner. If you do this before the book is finished, we will not be able to complete it.

6. Photos

Photos you send us are used only for your book and are deleted together with the recordings, 90 days after the book is delivered. By sending us photos, you confirm that you have permission to share them with us.

7. Questions about the book or the service

So that the call is only about your memories, Gloria does not answer questions about the book during the interview. She notes them, and we text you the answers after the call.

8. Your wellbeing and safety

Remembering can bring up strong feelings. You can pause, skip a question or end the call at any time.

• Gloria is not a doctor, a therapist or an emergency service, and she does not give medical advice.

• If, during a call, the person says something that worries us about their safety, Gloria will give them 988 (the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, by call or text, in Spanish) and remind them to call 911 in an emergency.

• In that case, our team is notified and may contact the person who booked to check in.

• In an emergency, call 911 right away.

9. Missed calls and reminders

If a call is missed, we will send reminders by message so you can reschedule. After 30 days with no reply, we pause the service. You can pick it back up any time with the link we sent you (packages are valid for 12 months from the purchase date).

10. Cancellations and refunds

Before the first call. You can cancel any time before the first call with Gloria. We refund what you paid, minus a small administrative fee [amount to be decided].

If you stop partway. If at least one call has taken place and you decide not to continue, there is no refund. We will write a shorter book from the calls already done.

Paused packages. Your package is valid for 12 months from the purchase date. You can pick it back up any time within that period. After 12 months, the package expires and there is no refund.

If the storyteller passes away. We are very sorry. We will finish the book from the calls already done, at no extra cost. If the family asks before they are deleted, we will also send them the recordings.

Extra time. Extra time you purchase is not refundable once it has been used.

After you approve the book. Once you approve the book for printing, there are no refunds. If the book arrives damaged or with a printing error, write to us within 30 days and we will replace it at no cost.

How to ask for a refund. Write to us at [contact email]. We refund to the same payment method within 10 business days.

11. Taking part is voluntary

No one has to answer any question. You can stop the service at any time. See section 10 about refunds.

12. Age

The person who books must be 18 or older.

13. Your story, your book and the certificate

The story and the book belong to you and your family, and you can share them with anyone you like. The name, logo and design of MĒMORA and El Libro de los Puertorriqueños remain MĒMORA’s.

The book is written from the memories shared in the calls. MĒMORA does not check names, dates or facts. You review the draft and are responsible for what you approve, especially when it mentions other people.

The Certificate of Registration is a symbolic keepsake from MĒMORA. It is not an official, legal or genealogical document.
